Are my images uploaded to a server?

Why can't I open WebP files in my app?
WebP (and the newer AVIF) are modern web formats many desktop apps and older tools still don't read. Converting to PNG keeps full quality; JPG gives smaller files for photos.
Does PNG keep transparency?
Yes — transparent areas in a WebP stay transparent in PNG. JPG doesn't support transparency, so transparent areas become white.
